"what we've got" by Rin (9/16/2007)

Dear George,
How are you? Are you still thirsty?
As you predicted, I have been away from painting or solitary time.
I wrote to you many times, but I did not send. I don’t know what kept me not posting,
just did not feel right about something. I am not sure you are still at the address I
have. Hope this will reach to you.
George, what did you see so far?
I know you are somewhere in this ocean sending me the wave…I know that.
Well, I am sitting here, thinking what to tell you. And I can’t find the words.
I have not painted for a long time. Every morning, I write up my to do list, and “
painting” is the first one. So many days have passed holding this feeling of dilemma.
The dilemma of can’t get what I want. This is not the first time of dilemma. Yes, I’ve
been here before…many times.
I am waiting. This waiting time is like a chink in the journey.
It seems there is no movement. But waiting is an action to me. It is a part of my
journey.
There is a right time for everything.
I received your Mitsu-Bishi 2B drawing.(down below)

I am sending you the books “Red Shoes” and “What We’ve Got”.
I displayed these books at the Rancho Santa Fe Art Fair for the first time. I priced $15
each. 2 were sold. I hope you do not mind that I have no desire to have profit from these
books. I only made 18 each.
I just want to share your lovely stories with the people out there.
I was invited to display my art at Signal Hill Cultural Arts Center in Long Beach. (I heard
that somebody who visited the Oasis Gallery show mentioned about me)
This event called “Show &Sell”, October 12th 4pm-8pm.
I am thinking to donate these books (2books) for their event.
As you see the book, I made the illustration for “What We’ve Got”.
And it is my response for this time.
Love&Peace,
Rin
I love it. Thank you.
I see this wheel with a tall antenna is moving
forward in a hurry. The wheel is too focused on
the front to notice the small shinning things on
the road. Is the wheel running away from
something or trying to reach to somewhere?
I guess it does not matter for the wheel. It is
just doing so, isn’t it?
