Rin Colabucci
“Any thing worked in frenzy was a work of beauty.
It may be the result of a clumsy attempt, but it is unique and is a total
reflection of one’s unique self.”
---------Hiroshi Teshigawara

Painting for me is the result of discerning the necessity and unnecessity,
transformation of the unconsciousness to the consciousness.
I am strongly attracted by the beauty and the power of the fragility in this transient world.
When I paint, I try to forget the every structures or what I have learnt.
I believe every painting have to be the result of pursuing a buoyant expression without
compromising, without being driven by emotion,
which is my never ending goal.

BIO:
Born in Hiroshima, the daughter of a Japanese master craftsman, Rin can't remember a time when
she was not surrounded by art. She attended a Buddhist nursery school, a Christian boarding school
and a Shinto university. She studied philosophies and ethics. Backpacking early on and visited or
lived in Micronesia, South Asia, USA, Central and South America, Europe, Middle East. Now she lives
in San Diego, California.

Her oils focus on the human form dealing with the human condition. Penetrating eyes and vivid colors
highlight the symbolism in her work. Her style is not modeled on any particular artist or genre. She
gets her inspiration from life experiences and feelings. Originality and creativity are the two
fundamental essences of her art.

“My work begin with creating the totally chaos on canvas. I let any themes or accidents happen and go.
As I continue this process, osmotically imagery begins to emerge. My painting is a result of many
layers of thoughts and feelings.
For me, painting process is like ‘tuning’ to voices to be heard. I take inspiration from everyday life,
things, relationships, beings around me. I observe them and pass them on in my form.”

Rin has created poster designs for theater troupes, card and print designs for Charities ( M.S.F.,
Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre, Dubai Eco), magazine illustrations, mural paintings( shopping
malls, hotels, restaurants). Her paintings have been published and bought by numerous collectors in
UK, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, France, Germany, Canada, the UAE and the US.

She has been selected as one of the leading achievers from around the world –Marquis ”WHO’S
WHO in the World 2005(22nd Edition)”.
